Yes, the card will also work in a 64-bit Windows environment. Just use the right drivers that correspond to your operating system (32 or 64 bit).

I’m not aware of any issues with Nvidia cards.

Hi Diogo,

You can certainly use the DeckLink card + 2 other monitors. The type of card you’ll need will depend on what kind of tv you will be using as the connection type varies. However, I would recommend the DeckLink HD Extreme as a starting baseline as that will output SDI and analog in both SD and HD.

Capturing via component should be ok. What you need to watchout for is the type of signal your DVD is sending out. Make sure it’s interlaced and not progressive.

What is preventing this workflow right now is that applications off the shelf right now will not address 2 capture cards simultaneously. Our drivers already supported multiple cards (even 2 of the same) in a single system.

Sorry, but we will not recommend using Dell systems. In fact, Dell systems are specifically mentioned as a “not supported” system in our System Requirements page. This is due to the use of different components in the system even if the model number remains the same.

There’s a high chance that the DVD player is implementing HDCP on the HDMI output even though the DVD material is self produced. We’ve seen this happen before.

Hi,

There’s really no need to setup the display resolution of your monitor before connecting to the HDLink as HDLink will tell the monitor what it wants.

If your monitor is 1600×1200, it should still handle 1x SD.

What you can first do is to update to the latest driver which will also prompt you to update the firmware of your HDLink. See if that helps. There may also be incompatibility issues from which you can manually over-ride in the HDLink Utility preferences under EDID over-ride.

Failing which, you should speak to support and see if it’s a bad unit which we can swap out for.
