    Hi Neil,

Blackmagic Deck Control will still work. It’s only playing out from the Quicktime application that is affected.

August 7, 2005 at 11:49 pm in reply to: Framelink – how’s it done?

    Hi Rupert,

Simply drag your QT movie file onto the FrameLink application icon. This will mount a disk image on your desktop that has the DPX files.

To create a QT movie from a series of DPXs, double-click on the FrameLink application and fill in the preferences about the type of movie you’re creating and an empty disk image will show up on the desktop with a QT movie of the same filename. Just copy the DPX files into the disk image and the QT movie will update itself.

    Hi,

The correct option should be Export > Blackmagic Image Export….

Can you check if DeckLink Importer and DeckLink Exporter are in the Import/Export folder. Import/Export is located within Photoshop’s plug-in folder. If they are not in there, then it may not be installed correctly. Do a search system wide for the 2 files and move them there.

July 23, 2005 at 12:26 am in reply to: BMD SP & sync…

    Hi,

Connect the Y-component output of the card to your deck’s REF IN, then take the loop out from the reference back into the deck’s Y-component inputs. That way, the deck can use use the video source as a sync reference. Remember to toggle the termination switch next to the connectors on the deck.
