We do not remove anything as there are no such facility in the installer. I’m also unable to replicate this issue over here.

What is the version of Final Cut Pro do you have installed? Can you send me a screenshot of your /Library/Quicktime folder in List View before and after installing the v5.2.4 driver ensuring that the ‘Date Modified’ column is shown ? Did you run the “Uninstall Blackmagic” application before installing?

Hi,

The card that is shipping with the Multibridge Extreme is a PCI-Express (PCIe) card. It is not PCI-X. It will only work in the PCIe Power Mac G5s.

Hi Jan,

Do you have the card installed in slot 2 of your G5 and have another PCI-X card installed in slot 3? These two slots share the same 100Mhz bus and a slower card in either one will slow down the bus. The HD card will then operate in SD mode when there is insufficient bus speed.

Hi George,

We do not override the HDV codecs in your installation. Check the folder “/Library/QuickTime/” and see if you’ve got the AppleHDVCodec component in there.

You should ideally be using the Apple Uncompressed 4:2:2 codecs for RT in Final Cut Pro. If you setup your project using the provided Blackmagic Easy Setups, it will use the Apple codecs.

Hi Levan,

It is stated in the manual that the top slot is preferable. This is because that 133Mhz slot uses its own dedicated bus unlike the bottom 2 slots that share one bus.

Use the top slot for your ATTO card and one of the bottom 2 slots for the DeckLink card. Make sure you don’t have any other cards sharing the same bus as the DeckLink card.

If you’re talking about the Multibidge Extreme, then yes. It’ll be like having a DeckLink card installed.
