anybody useing 2 GHZ G5 PCI model not PCI-X
I was wondering If you guys share your experince useing G5 2 GHZ PCI which is discontinued now
with decklink extreme and sonnet or atto cards?
I have couple of them lying around and since new mac G5 doesnt have stable sata or scsi card readily available
I wanted to put these to use in the facility.
I would be happy if someone has used this config and share the experince -

PCI only G5s are not supported. Kindly refer to this note:

I have managed to get one working on test basis

This model doesn’t work with Decklink – it is my expierence.

do not waste your time with the PCI G5 Model !!
you might have been lucky but might not be so lucky if this G5
decides not to output your footage when you need it most….
And your manager starts chasing you around with the tether cable…There is a reason why this is not a supported configuration.
