This is Quicktime at work and we cannot do anything about it. Fortunately, Final Cut Pro handles it correctly and I would recommend using Final Cut Pro when exporting.

Hi Ron,

You should use the easy setups we provide. The one you’ll need is “Blackmagic HDTV 1080psf 23.98 – DVCPRO HD”. This will configure your capture correctly.

If you don’t see the easy setups, then make sure the correct driver is installed. FCP 5 requires our v5.x drivers while Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 requires our v4.8.1 drivers.

Hi Harry,

You need to use our easy setups to configure your project. After starting Final Cut Pro, go to Final Cut Pro > Easy Setups in the menu (or use CTRL-Q) and select “Blackmagic HDTV 1080i59.94 – DVCPRO HD”. Make sure you create a new sequence as easy setups don’t affect exisiting ones.

Capturing sound through the internal port of the Mac is not supported and you might get audio sync issues.

If you need to capture audio from the camera together, you’ll need to use a 3rd party SDI audio embedder.

This will not work. The cables may look the same but they are different.

There are currently no option to extend this cable.

We down convert 720p59.94 to NTSC, 1080i50 to PAL and 1080/23.98PsF and 59.94i to NTSC.
