    Hi Scott,

If you don’t require 4:4:4 HD, the the DeckLink HD Extreme is a suitable solution. If you have any doubts, free feel to contact us via email at support[at]blackmagic-design.com.

    Hi,

I don’t think fcp can playback DPX files currently. There is a Quicktime component for DPX out somewhere which might work. If you have DPX files and want to play them back in FCP, use FrameLink to create a 2K Quicktime movie file which you can use with our 2K presets in FCP.

    Hi Gary,

You’re right about FCP not support 72025 or 50. We current support 720p50 capture and playback using our Blackmagic Deck Control application as there are more demands for it than 720p25.

    Hi,

If you leave the power supply connected to the mains and to the Multibridge Extreme, does it still warm up?

Kindly contact us at support[at]blackmagic-design.com and we’ll sort this one out for you.

  • Hi,

The downloaded codec is not universal binary so it will not work in your Intel Mac.

I would recommend you download our latest driver, install it and you’ll get access to the Apple 4:2:2 Uncompressed codec instead from the Quicktime Export options. They are Universal Binary.

  • Hi Charlie,

Unbalanced AES or SPDIF is 75 ohms. You must convert the connection with a impedance converter as balanced AES is 110 ohms.

    Hi Kurt,

DVCPRO HD is your friend. 🙂

Just use the easy setups for DVCPRO HD in 1080i we supply in Final Cut Pro.

  • Hi,

If the Multibridge Extreme is connected to the Mac in capture/playback mode (via PCIe), you’ll need to be in record mode. You can either use Blackmagic Deck Control or Log and Capture in Final Cut Pro.

[miles and Jules] “If it does do this, would it be able to fit the screen?”

If you enable the fill screen option.

  • Hi George,

Another lower cost option will be the Behringer ULTRAMATCH PRO Sample Rate and Format Converter. It’s a rack mount unit.
