    G5 quad 2.5Ghz
    4.5GB RAM
    MULTIBRIDGE EXTREME
    FCP 5

Playing sequence in FCP when I hear a snap and the computer freezes with dreaded spinning disc.
check all peripherals then realise the multibridge is not on. It’s off, though it’s still plugged in. I shut everything down.
Check the fuse- it’s fine. PLug it back in- and the LED on the front of multibridge flashes very briefly before going out again. Fan doesn’t start either. It seems dead. FCP doesn’t recognise it either when relaunched.
I heard BMD products were well solid.
    Is it dead?

    Hi,

If you leave the power supply connected to the mains and to the Multibridge Extreme, does it still warm up?
