Hi,

Although H.264 decoding can now be done via the host computer, not every application will support it’s output via a video card. If you use the DeckLink Studio in Adobe Premiere Pro, you will also be able to play out H.264 files via the card so this feature is really application specific.

Hi, when encoding, you’re looking at approximately 4.5W and when not, about a watt or so less.

It will accept majority of HD input formats from 720p50, 720p59.94, 1080p23.98 to 1080p50 and 1080p59.94 (via HDMI or 3G-SDI).

You use Media Express to capture the H.264 files.

3) Can it be used with an older laptop/netbook with USB2 or will it need a newer dual or quad core? (Since it is stated that it is a “hardware” encoder, I hope that it will be able to be used on something slower)

Yes, it is a hardware encoder so the system requirement is not high BUT H.264 decoding (to preview) your input does require a fairly modern processor.

Hi,

The connector on the unit is 2.1mmx5.5mm center positive.

H.264 Pro Recorder has an input range of +12V to +36V.

Hi Kim,

Your laptop will see the HDMI inputs of our card as a display device and provide you with the necessary “TV” resolution output. It’s just like connecting the HDMI output of your laptop to a TV.

The PDF manual is not available yet but yes, the HyperDecks are designed for high quality uncompressed 10-bit video recording and playback.

Hi Danny,

The first thing I would try is to remove the HDMI splitter from the setup. Connect the Xbox output directly to the Intensity Shuttle and see if that helps.
