August 22, 2011 at 5:07 pm in reply to: HDLink Pro separate LUT’s for SDI/DVI

    Hi,

[Toby Tomkins] “Quick question (hopefully). Can you have separate LUTs applied to the SDI-out and the DVI(HDMI)-out?

You can only run 1 LUT and they apply to both the SDI out and the DVI/HDMI output.

[Toby Tomkins] “Also, is it worth getting the display-port model or will the DVI (with HDMI convertor) output 10 bit (or will only the display-port)

The DisplayPort version will support 10-bit HDMI but the DVI version is 8-bit HDMI/DVI.

  • [Eric Lanouette] “An other thing that scare me is that the box become really hot about 5 minutes after I plug the power cord. To avoid stressing the parts in it and shorten it life, I always unplug it after capturing content. Can you comment on that please?

    Hi Eric,

There’s nothing to worry about. The heat is dissipated via the case so it will feel warm.

I’m exploring the possibility that the files have been moved off the HFS+ SSD used in the HyperDeck Shuttle onto another volume…

    Hi,

Could you please contact our tech support team and provide a link to download the video?

Is this in SD or HD? What is the framerate of your source and what H.264 preset are you using in Media Express?

    Hi Mark,

    They are Din 1.0/2.3 connectors.

Here’s a list of them on the Marketek website:

July 11, 2011 at 11:29 pm in reply to: H.264 Pro not pro?

    Hi Scott,

If you’re trying to bypass your camera’s HDV compression, or go from HDV to a more “edit friendly” codec, then H.264 Pro Recorder is probably not the right product for you.

You’re simply going from MPEG2 to MPEG4, both which are not recommended as an editing codec.
