New here! I’ve tried searching, and not found an answer to this one…

I’m trying to capture the output from my laptop in order to produce a clean recording from live VJ software. After looking into it, it seems that the Blackmagic Intensity series will do what I need. I’m slightly worried however that the laptop HDMI signal (resolution, fps etc) won’t match what the capture card is expecting. Any ideas if this will work?

    Cheers,
    Kim

    Hi Kim,

Your laptop will see the HDMI inputs of our card as a display device and provide you with the necessary “TV” resolution output. It’s just like connecting the HDMI output of your laptop to a TV.

Great thanks! I’ve bought the card, will test it out tonight.
