Open the clip in the Source window and double click on the Played timecode indicator. After the numbers are highlighted enter in your starting timecode and press enter. The playhead will move to that timecode position and you can then select your in point.

If Joseph’s recommendation doesn’t work, another thing to look at is to see if all the drives that contain media for your project have mounted correctly. If a drive becomes unplugged before ejecting it will sometimes mount with the same name but in the directory structure it will include a suffix such as “Drive 1(2)”
If that is the case you will just need to rename the drive to the original. May be a long shot but worth a look. You can also try to clean your media cache and repair your drive permissions if you are on a Mac.

Create 15 unique titles with the # and as you go through your sequence place a title where you need it. Then as you go through your timeline when you need to change the title to a higher #. Select the title you need in the bin and then right click on the clip in the sequence and choose “replace clip from Bin”
Cumbersome at first but will go smoother as you go through your edit.

Pardon if I didn’t understand the quandary, but can you not just copy the file 7 times in your output folder and give each one a unique name?

For me this is normal behavior but does not have anything to do with Dynamic linking. I use an IOxt and PrPro will control the AJA control panel unless I quit the app, then it will recognize AE. It used to work seamless but broke somewhere along the way. I am not sure if it is an AJA driver issue or an Adobe issue.

Disclaimer first, I do not author BR discs
It would help if you shared your encoding settings. I am going to just guess that you have set AME to encode at to high a Bit rate and the CPU is not able to decode tat amount of data quick enough to be real time.
Best thing to do is start with the presets in AME and start tweaking from there. Work with a small section of your timeline so you will not have to wait for hours to see the results.

Not 2 Pass VBR. Use CBR to guarantee you are encoding at the rate you choose. There is no practical reason to export a comp from AE through AME. especially to h.264.
Render out vie the AE render queue using “Animation” or “ProRes (HQ)” then take that file and compress with AME if needed or work into your edit.
You might need to massage the render settings for optimal output, but as Dave mentioned it is next to impossible to help without knowing specifics.
