    Hi there,

Pretty basic question here, but hoping there’s an easy work-around to what could otherwise be a fairly labour intensive job…

I have video footage of a two guys playing a game of ping pong and I need to have an on screen visual, which denotes the score as the game progresses. Is there a simple way of doing this in titles, or is it a case of creating a new title card for each new score and placing them in a sequence over the footage?

    Your advice is much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Nick

If the design allows, just create a single title with the background look of the scoreboard, place on one track, then create titles for the numbers that you’ll need, then just drag them to the track above as you need them. Couldn’t be much simpler than that.

Create 15 unique titles with the # and as you go through your sequence place a title where you need it. Then as you go through your timeline when you need to change the title to a higher #. Select the title you need in the bin and then right click on the clip in the sequence and choose “replace clip from Bin”

Cumbersome at first but will go smoother as you go through your edit.
