Use the motion effect as per normal, select fit to fill and then just add a “-” (minus) symbol in front of the fit to fill value.

  • Try clearing bin memory before quitting. I think it’s caused by MC not having enough RAM at quitting time. I get it a lot. And yes, my system is 100% avid qualified.

You do not need Nitris Hardware to ingest HDCam. A Mojo DX will do the job just fine.

Pan and zoom has some quirks. You must render it in order to actually see the move in the desired quality.

Also, if you change anything after the render it will stay as low-res rubbish, even after re-rendering. You have to remove the plug in and re-apply. It’s a pain but that’s just what it does.

I have done exactly the same thing…. works fine… over 170 imports so far… then I “archive” them to HDCam SR. I know…. overkill, but I do it because I can!

Leave them importing overnight and you’ll be fine.

    Thanks Luke.

I plan to go with a RR card, a Cubix extender, the BMD video card and the HBA for my Maxx Digital array, along with the recommended GUI/GPU configs.

Re: the Cubix…. any suggestion on which to get? Ideally it would be as expandable as possible.

Running on a Mac Pro, Avid Mojo DX system. Check in with Ron at Maxx. I’m sure he’d only be too happy to help determine if things will work or not. I’m pretty sure it’s an easy set up regardless of Mac/PC preference.

btw… in my earlier post I mentioned HD media…. to be clear I am talking about 185mb/sec, full raster HD.

Definitely renders the effect on export. Try it with/without and compare export times.

“If we are working at 1920 X 1080″…. you have answered your own question. Photoshop has a HD TV template.
