reverse speed and fitting to fill at same time?
Hello,
I’m on an avid sympony nitris vers 1.83
Have a bunch of clips that I want to reverse the motion within each clip
then take all those clips and speed them up by a certain percentagethe emotional effect is tape rewinding quickly past an entire story etc
I have been googling this problem but want to tripple check I am not missing something:
I can put the reverse motion filter on all clips in the sequence but then cannot put a timewarp effect on those filtered clips in the sequence
tried collapsing the sequence and draggin on the timewarp- no dice
tried alt dragging the time warp filter to the clips with the reverse motion filter- no as well
exporting a movie of the sequence with all clips reversed and then applying fit to fill on that reference movie into a sequence does the trick but since the footage is offline quality, this will be a problem down the line for the upres
is there a way to nest sequences and apply speed and reverse effects to the same clip in Avid?

Use the motion effect as per normal, select fit to fill and then just add a “-” (minus) symbol in front of the fit to fill value.
