    Hi Chad,

Are there other ways to do this? I don’t know if you mean changing clothes during animation or just changing them from scene to scene so that they don’t have to be connected to the character’s mesh.

Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I have explained it in a screen recording for anyone who may be facing the same issue.

    Hi Grant,

I’m unfamiliar with the Connector tool but I do not rule out that there is a bug in your version, especially since it is relatively new.

    Hi Blake,

On the object that receives the weird effects, apply an RS Object tag, then activate the visibility option, and under REFLECTION & REFERACTION, disable the visibility in the reflections and re-render to make sure that the weird effects is gone, otherwise disable the visibility in refractions as well. This may not be a radical solution, but it solves the problem, especially when you do not have time to check all the settings and find out where the problem is. I hope this is helpful.

  • Thanks for sharing your findings with us! I hope you have time to make a screen recording of what the situation was like and how you overcame the problem.

  • Hi Blake,

If I understood the requirement well, I think that using two emitters in each tower, so that you make the emitters in one tower two different colors to get blended upon emission manually, I think that would be better and would give you greater smoothness in control. hope this is useful for you.

    Hi Frank,

I think you made changes to the file and then saved, I advise you to use save incremental option while working so that you do not encounter the same problem in the future, in fact Cinema 4D does not save previous files except in the event of a crash, you will find a copy of the file by going to edit > preferences > open preferences folder and you will find the file in the burgerports folder, you could try that may find your file there for some reason, also if you modified the file and then deleted the original file for some reason you can recover the deleted file using one of the file recovery methods through the operation system (Mac or Windows), you will find topics about this on the net, I hope this is useful to you.

The problem may be due to the topology of the object, especially if it was imported from another program.

    January 29, 2025 at 9:37 am in reply to: New to 3D – Cinema 4D vs C4D-LITE ?

    Hi Rory,

Certainly, beginning with C4D Lite will save you time and effort in learning the basics of the program and getting to know the interface and how the tools, tags, and effectors work. So when you have the opportunity to move to the full version, you will continue what you started learning on Lite, you will not need to go back. It is the same program, but without the tools through which you can do complex work in terms of modeling and animation, and with limited rendering quality. However, you can complete simple projects on it. Below is a picture and a link from the Maxon website explaining the two versions’ most important differences. I hope this is helpful to you.

You are most welcome, Blake! thank you for sharing with us what you have found. When you have the opportunity, please share with us screenshots (with the Objects manager) that illustrate the problem and how to solve it so that anyone who may encounter the same problem can benefit.
