nope. doesnt do that. believe it or not, you get used to it. unlike avid, you can zoom the timeline WITHOUT stopping playback, though.

Yeah, its a problem with the Media 100 codec…FCP assumes a range of 0-255, Media 100 uses 16-235.
Unfortunately there is no good workaround. If we are not talking monstrous amounts of media, perhaps you can use Compressor to batch convert to another codec while adjusting the gamma.

Actually your audio plugins are in Library/Audio/Plugins.
Your problem is a bit of a pain to fix. You can remove them before launching FCP or you can create separate user accounts for when you want to use FCP and Logic, then put the Logic plugins in the User/Library folder instead of the one at root level.

Export the nest as a Quicktime Movie…import the movie…apply the Broadcast Safe filter to the movie. Should work in realtime

Do you have a capture card installed?.. In the distant past there was a version of the Aurora Igniter driver which would cause this…Aurora fixed it in an update.

If you are trying to uprez a sequence in FCP (and not on a linear GVG style system) dont mess with EDL’s. You had the right idea with the Media Manager, but I think your workflow sounds incorrect.
Try reading this article (especially the final paragraph). Its written for FCP 4, but the workflow still applies.

The Media Manager is still problematic with FCP, but I find it usually works correctly if I follow this procedure.

Adrenaline uses the the same Meridien OMF resolutions that you are used to…and it can also work with other types of media, including MXF and DV.
