  • can the timeline window follow the playhead’s position?

    Hello
Is there a way to have the timeline window refresh itself once the playhead leaves it? What I mean to say is that if I play a sequence and the playhead disappears at the right hand side, I still see the section of the timeline it has just played, and the playhead has disappeared.
I searched really hard for a setting for this, but I hope I didn’t overlook a very obvious checkbox!
    thx in advance
    Michiel

nope. doesnt do that. believe it or not, you get used to it. unlike avid, you can zoom the timeline WITHOUT stopping playback, though.

Shift + Page Down and you can follow along without stopping playback.

Nice! Thanks. I also have a suggestion.

I zoom in/out on the timeline. Just one poke at the zoom in, or zoom out, keystroke re-centers the playhead, without stopping playback.

Since I zoom in/out so often, I assigned the – and the = keys to Zoom Out and Zoom In.

It’s mainly because of that keyboard assignment zooming in/out is easy enough to use just for keeping the playhead on my screen.
