Sure can just bring your laptop and be sure to have EDCAM explorer loaded on it. (Free from Sony) Drop and drag the folders and you’re on your way. They are MP4 files that EDCAM can convert for you into MXF for use in your NLE. If you are only looking at 5 minutes worth the size will be negligible. I just shot a 1 1/2 hour 3 camera concert and was able to transfer the files in just a matter of minutes. The conversion time to MXF takes a bit but at least you can do it at home. We used Sony EX-1 cameras.

I have used bootcamp for quite some time without a hitch. All you are creating is a partition and then using the windows OS. The hardware is built on an Intel platform so you are good to go.
Mike is this a windows or a Sony fix in deleting the cache? If the latter I don’t relish the idea of losing my preferences on load up. Thanks for the info
The inherent problem I see with that is depending on the what is happening during the filming your color correction needs can change across your timeline. I’m not sure what you are filming but I have worked many live events where the stage lighting is so varied that you have to treat each one on it’s own. I’m not a big fan of the multi camera function in Vegas for this very reason and I don’t use it.
There is great piece of software that will line up your multiple shots without the need to match up time code or by matching sound wav forms etc. It is called Plural Eyes
