I don’t know of a way to combine the preset to include the FX as that is really a separate function. Perhaps someone has a solution for that but to be honest I’ve never been a big fan of the Pro Titler for many reasons. It was a big sell but for me but it fell way short of my expectation and is not intuitive as is the rest of Vegas. Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you.

You can work using HD just fine but you will have to do it by proxy. I would suggest Gearshift from VAAST it works great and is easy to use. It will swap out your HD files and you can do all your edits then once done replace them with the HD files again.

Mike do you think it is a conspiracy? Half joking but I would not put it passed Apple. We march onward anyway.

That depends on what is on the tracks or else you could wind up splitting anything that overlaps your position and make a lot of work for yourself. Like I said be safe, rename it and practice before using it.

Up your ram to 2 gigs and you’ll see an immediate increase. Your system is bare minimum from what you shared, you did not mention if it is dual core or your operating system. It all matters…except you video card that does not come into play with Vegas as it uses only your CPU.

If you want to make space you just have to select the Ripple button and then choose either “all tracks” or “affected tracks”. Be sure to place your time line where you want to make the space. Then just click and drag the media in front of your line and drag it. Be careful as this takes some practice and can really mess up things quickly. I would rename your project first and then play around with until you get the feel for what it does. Get into the habit of double checking it is not selected after you have used it. It has burned me many times over for forgetting this. Hope this helps.

Alas Apple is once again cutting itself out of the market by wanting to keep everything in house. They just refuse to stop the proprietary nonsense that consumers detest. If it was truly a superior product then they would have a leg to stand on…but that is just not the case. Unless we believe all the market hype.

This will take a little work but it will do what you are asking. Since you only have two cameras and just want to share those views do this.
1.If you do not have the time stamps for all of your cuts then simply go through you edits and add a marker to each. Add an A or B to the name to recall which camera you are cutting to. So your makers will be sequential but will also tell you what camera you are on.
2. Then add two tracks and drop your original source media for each camera onto to each track.
3.Insert a track on the highest level, insert an empty event then and add the timecode FX it. Be sure to stretch it to the entire length of your video. Using track motion position your time code to a place that does not obstruct the camera views but allows it to be large enough to be easily read. This must be on it’s own track or it will be locked to either of your two tracks position and size. (see next item)
4. Now go back to your two source tracks and select track motion. Simply resize them into equal parts so that both show up just as in the multicamera window.
5. You will now have to go through all the tracks using your markers as a reference and cut the clips. It sounds like a lot of work but it really should not take you that long. I have just edited an 1:30 show and had about 120 cuts and it took me all of 25 minutes to do.
6. Mute the multicamera track and render your new one.
Hope this helps…sorry there is not an easier way other then using your video camera to film the computer screen after syncing it and then rendering that.

That is true if you click on the add new track from the menu above. However if you right click on a track and then insert a new one it will add it right there. It becomes a big deal when you have lots of tracks and don’t want to have to scroll to the top and drag the track where you want it to be.
