Rendering Issues / 2-Second Render Process Produces No Output
My apologies if this has been addressed previously; I searched the forums and couldn’t find it, though, given the difficulty in accurately describing this issue I suspect I may just have missed a previous thread.
When I try to render a video in Sony Vegas 8 the render process – which should take at least a few minutes, if not longer (it’s a short clip I’m working with, maybe 30 seconds or so – “completes” in about 2 seconds but doesn’t produce any actual output. The rendered file opens but, apparently, just the first frame has been rendered.
I was wondering if anyone has had an experience like this and could advise me on what I’m doing incorrectly? Thanks much in advance.

It sounds like you may have “loop Region” selected when you are rendering. That would explain it.
