    01) How can I put a picture/frame from a clip on the thumbnail that represents it in the menu?

First make sure you have added the media you want to use in your project. (So that your link will play the entire file) For example… KidsBirthday.mpg
(Side note it is best to use your video editor to create a small clip of what you want displayed if you’d rather have it animated and loop a small portion).

Right Click on the menu page you wish to add the thumbnail.
Click on your new button and make sure you have “BUTTON PROPERTIES” displayed. From there go to “MEDIA” then “THUMBNAIL PROPERTIES” the “THUMBNAIL MEDIA” click on replace and find you file. After that you have the option to have it as a still or animated. You can use the start time slider to find the portion you want displayed or input the exact time if you know it.

That’s it..but if you choose to animate it will only play as long as any background media you have setup. IE Music or Video.

    02) I think that by default the color of a selected item on a menu is light yellow. Is it possible to change its color?

Select MENU PAGE PROPERTIES the COLOR SETS and you will see an option to change either the current page color set or the entire project. Read the help menus to understand what the options affect.

    03) Is it possible to have a clip on the DVD that will play before we go to main menu? I am guessing that the clip can be inserted to the fist menu by right-clicking on the menu and then inserting “media”. Is this correct?

Make sure you have the PROJECT OVERVIEW displayed and right click anywhere in there to add your media. Select that media again and select “START ITEM”, a little purple start will be added to the name of the clip to show it is to be played upon DVD insertion.

    04) I have a 30 second music clip attached to the main menu. By default, does the music clip play just once? Or does it loop?

Select you music clip and then go to the MENU MEDIA PROPERTIES page, select END ACTION the select COMMAND…LOOP…

    Hope this helps.

I had done extensive research on the very wide spread NY camera scams and have reported many to the FBI, credit card companies and the FBI. It is very rampant. You will find a common thread in all of their ads.

1.Low prices at usually half the going rate.
2.Glowing customer reports where they will try to add credibility by mentioning some name, Bob, Joe, or so and so was very helpful.
3.Most are located in Brooklyn NY.
    4. They all have the same hours of operation.
5.If you call they will very rarely say answer with “hello thanks for calling “name”. They are all the same scammers and do not know which store you are calling into.
6.They are usually very rude and not will try to upsell you with junk you do not need and with inferior products and then later with a useless warranty at ridiculous prices.

Lots more to add to this but stay away and only deal with known reputable dealers. Be careful of cross feedbacks from one site to the next. They are all bogus. They make their money on restocking fees on products they do not own. Once people know they are duped they are glad to get away without losing $3000.00 vs an $100 restocking fee.

    Hope this helps

I don’t care for the way the ProTitler handles this. The only other way that I have found is to key frame every stroke and adjust the timing of each to meet your needs. Note: the sync curser is not selectable but you can still add key frames. You must be careful as you add letters and keyframes as each keyframe consists of all the prior ones. So if you type OOPS I MAE A MISTAKE and want to change the one letter you have to delete all the ones after it and start over again. You also cannot use the “place position” function after you have started to type unless you also want to move that particular letter. You have to use Pan Crop instead. Also look for a typing wav file and sync the two. It is time consuming but comes out nicely. Give yourself some leeway in between letters so you can later adjust both the sound and typing to adjust the speed. Sorry the ProTitler is not very user friendly for doing this. Hope this helps.
