simplest way to lock a track?
Posted by Gilles Gagnon on April 14, 2010 at 4:49 pmHI all,
what is the simplest way to lock an entire track? (in this case, an audio track)I’m surprised that vegas does not have a “lock” icon on a track.
Do I really have to select all the events of the track and “rt-click/switches/lock”?
THanks,

Sounds like a great idea for a product suggestion to me!!

No you don’t.
Click the first event, right-click and choose “Select events to end” and then “right-click – Switches – Lock”. -

April 14, 2010 at 4:59 pmThanks Mike,
a bit of a shortcut but am kind of disappointed that it’s still not simpler. It’s times like these that I question my having chosen Vegas over FCP.
Oh well, Vegas can’t be perfect I guess.
Thanks again,

April 15, 2010 at 5:34 amWait until you use it for a while, you may start saying, “now that would have been really hard to do in FCP” the help file can be very useful. I’ve read it several times over the years a little at a time, along with reading this forum and I couldn’t imagine using anything else for an NLE. Danny Hays
