  • Can I do this?: PAN/CROP one track and have all Child tracks follow?

Posted by David Lincoln brooks on April 29, 2010 at 3:14 pm

Is there a way I can achieve this:

I want to do PAN/CROP keyframe changes to one track….. and have those exact PAN/CROP changes be simultaneously made to all, or selected, tracks below it.

I thought that the Parent/Child relationship would allow me to do this….. ie., PAN/CROP the Parent track, and have all the Child tracks be PAN/CROPPED exactly the same. (because I’d established a certain spatial relationship between the objects on these tracks which I wanted to preserve).

It didn’t work for me. Unless I went about it all the wrong way?

Is this transaction possible in PRO 9?

    Thanks, DAVE

This is not possible. Pan/Crop is an EVENT function and nothing to do with Tracks.

You should be able to copy and then paste event attributes from event to event if I am correct.

If you do that then anything FX or effect not contained in them all will be written over.
