Here’s another xpresso option that’s a little simpler. Take a look at this older tutorial on using a sound effector with a displacer and then substitute whatever parameter you like (I used color brightness in my example below) in place of the displacer.
You may need to load your own sound file into the sound effector in my example.

In your uploaded project file there is one material applied to the Earth. You would need to change the ocean color in that texture (world map.jpg) in an image-editing program like Photoshop.
