Hello everyone! I’m starting with C4d and while trying to work with a logo import from Illustrator, it gets all deformed, losing its smoothness and creating sharp edges that doesn’t exist in the typography (on letters A, O and E). Could anyone offer me some light on this?

    Thanks!

Are you using, or have you tried, CV-ArtSmart?

If that doesn’t help I would suggest uploading your Illustrator file so that others could try it.

Oh, I wasn’t using that no. Just Merged projects with an Illustrator 8 file. I tried installing the plugin you suggested, but couldn’t make it work here.

In C4d, the problem seems to be with the Spline Mask. These letters are imported in a group due to their holes. So whenever I apply the Spline Mask they get these rough edges. I searched “Show Help” but what they suggest doesn’t worf for me either (“change the spline interpolation type to, for example, Natural and increase the number of vertices”).

I attach the Illustrator file here if anyone can find a way to offer me a hand!

Thanks Jim for your fast reply!

Yes, upload the file. Hopefully someone will have a fix for you.
