I found a Mojave installer direct from Apple that I was able to use, but many of my apps ran slow in Mojave (and some not at all) so I reverted back to High Sierra. Interestingly enough, that installer never made reference to my graphics card and simply installed from the .dmg.
Thanks John. In re-reading the web page for “Install macOS 10.14 Mojave on Mac Pro (Mid 2010) and Mac Pro (Mid 2012)” I now see that my graphics card is not one of the two Nvidia cards listed as compatible. The first time I looked at it I assumed that the System Report check for Metal support was sufficient, but I guess not. I also wasn’t aware of the page you referenced for downloading old OSes and couldn’t find it anywhere but Amazon. I appreciate your input.
Thanks for sharing your work — it looks nice. As far as offering tips, I would suggest just finding an image, animation, or model that you like and work on reproducing it. As you’ve likely found, there are lots of tutorials out there — some better than others. Concerning good modeling tutorials, I have been impressed by polygonpen’s. See what you think. Good luck with your career.
I should have also mentioned that you could select all the objects, and then with the cursor over one of the selected objects, right click and select “Group Objects,” which is where you will also see the keyboard shortcut listed.
To group objects put them all in a null, either by selecting them all and using the keyboard shortcut ALT + G, or by adding a null to the scene and dragging them all into it as children. You can then move the null to move all the objects together.
You are very gracious and diplomatic. I’m glad if I helped, but perhaps I overlooked something myself in the tutorial (wouldn’t be the first time, nor the last). Thanks for your kindness.
When you switch to Edge mode and hover your cursor over an edge, what happens? Does the edge become highlighted like a polygon or point does when you do the same in Polygon or Point mode, and just not become selected when clicked on? More info would be helpful.
Thanks for the follow-up Hillary. Just to clarify, you must be in MODEL mode for the outline to appear. The fact that you were in POLYGON mode was my explanation as to why you weren’t getting it.
