The story is about a bank robbery going bad and the lives of 4 people involved – two detectives. One, an African-American female, keeps a Buddha with a rosary around its neck on her desk. She is the “sage” of the movie and this is referenced in a second trailer I’m doing now. I should have it posted in the next day or so. Thanks for the response.

If you are going to zoom in with pan and crop use a higher resolution image. PNG is the format Vegas seems to like best – especially if you have any alpha channels.

2 cpu and both dual core. It works good with V7 and HDV. I added my own hard drives. It is on for a good price now, a couple of hundred off. I got the 64 bit operating system with 4gb ram, no problems.
One of the best monitor buys when I bought was the 24″ dell 1900X1200. There are a lot of good LCD deals out there now.
I just finished a feature. I would recommend Magic Bullet and an Nvidia video card. MB utilizes the onboard processors of Nvidia so it renders pretty fast and has some great looks. Check out their “Basic” and “White Diffusion”. For flashbacks they have a good “Bleach Bypass light.”

I always set my project to HDV60i since I use a Z1 and an A1U and HD Connect Cineform files at 1440 X 1080. However, sometimes I notice the project size will change to 720 X 486 when I am rendering out the widescreen to that size. It works either way. Project properties is not so important as the render out. Just do it, small clips and DVD RWs if you want to experiment, and see what you get. It doesn’t hurt if you screw it up and you will very quickly see what you get.

I use Cineform Connect HD and had more problems with 7b. They seem to have cleared up with 7c. The guys at Cineform told me Vegas had changed the way it handled their codec. My problem was that I already had Connect on my computer when I installed 7b and Vegas quit seeing some of the files. They though the problem came from Vegas installing the 2.1 codec (included in Vegas) over the 2.5 code (included in Connect) Also, Vegas would not render to WMV. They said to reinstall Connect over Vegas. I did but nothing improved until 7c, which according to the notes, fixed some of the problems it was having with Cineform. Since then everything seems to work. I can render a WMV file and Vegas now sees all my Cineform clips.
About all I can tell you at this point is to reinstall everything and write Cineform. They take a day or two but do look for answers.

I do a lot of HDV. Do a render, mpg2 and you will find a bunch of templates. I like the widescreen 24p template. There is nothing wrong with 30p but I don’t use it much. Render it out and go. This template does not do audio unless you punch the “Customize” button, go to audio and click to include it. Vegas and DVD recommend (and it probably is better) to just render the video and then render an Ac3 of the same region. Then go into DVDA and make the DVD. Some people burn there but, I think just about as many or more, burn the DVD with Nero.
Notice that in the Customize area you can create a lot of different templates that you might want to label.
