  • Odd, but figure you need to make the files a bit longer.

Incorrect… the behavior is the same as FCP 4.5 with mixed resolutions. i.e., it’s not a new feature. Only card out there that will do this is the CineWave whose future is in serious doubt.

Oh great skinny one, I’ve not seen this with the exact same setup… figure it’s the card or the kbox.. and more likely the card.

I think you are over thinking this… if all it is, is a set of identical clips, why not edit with the one that contains the markers and forget your own project file sans the markers?

If you are looking for a quick way to “automatically” make your project file conform to theirs… there’s not one… You can drag all of their clips with one move to your file as well. Just select them all and move them. The markers made will not show up in your project’s original sequence don’t think though…

Maybe if you posted where you need to get? Is their project file the same as yours only with the markers? ie. it has the same sequences etc as well as the clips?

  • Yes as long as they are the latest versions of the software and are not academic, you only need to spend $499 for the upgrade to the new “Studio” suite. From then on I’ll be the upgrade path will be the least expensive. i.e. each year or so, you’ll upgrade all apps with one upgrade pkg…

Put the clip in the viewer and park over the still you want. choose file/export/quickTime conversion. In the dialog box that opens, you can choose still image from the pop up menu there… and there are options for format there as well.

I’d think that any upgrade is better than no upgrade… the price drop on the dual 2 gig machine is pretty interesting… a grand less is pretty nice…

Select the stereo audio and choose Modify>Stereo Pair. This will Unstereo them, and allow you to pan both tracks to the same side…
