Nest the clip after the motion affects are applied, then apply the widescreen filter to the nested clip.

PNG files can also preserve the alpha. Just be sure to set the colors to be millions+. the + is the alpha track.

Won’t be able to zoom in and out without it tearing up the picture a bit, but yes. Park your playnead on the frame you wan to freeze and type shift+n. A freeze shows up in the Viewer to edit into the sequence.

Yes, in the FCP browser window, you can find a frame rate column…. just sort on it by clicking on the column header.

You can save any title as a clip in your Browser. Then just add it again to the sequence, and modify the words… all formatting will remain the same.

Ditto the other posts, and I too like livetype. It’s a dedicated titler, even though Motion will do the same, it’s just a more “dedicated” tool for the creation of titles.

But before you do that, try moving the FCP system ID out of it’s folder and re-enter the serial number to see if you can’t fix it that way. It’s in MacHD/Library/Application Support/Pro Apps/Final Cut Studio System ID Move the ID file out and keep it if you need to put it back or something.
