Both versions are 32 bit… so I figure it’s likely not a lot faster. Plus it’s made to work with FCP X, meaning you might not be able to send from 7 to it.. not clear on that though.

Can you import the files to color that won’t send from FCP? if not, I suspect they are corrupt…
What was the original source? DSLR footage or?

Try hiding all of the columns you don’t need in the browser before you export the batch list. (just right click on the header name to hide it).

With the playhead sitting where you want to clip to extend to, and the out point selected, or in point for that matter, you type the letter e and it will extend the edit to the playhead and go over anything in between. That would do it, right?

My friends! I want to see my buddies! ‘ll be working for AJA every day in their booth, so come by and shake hands.
I want to see all the 4k. It’s the next thing. I remember when I saw HD for the first time in 1979. it took THAT long for it to become the norm.
Other than that, I want to see what all the other NLE companies are showing. I do believe Autodesk has a big announcement. They say will change everything… we’ll see! If Apple doesn’t show us a new Mac Pro, I might have to switch from FCP 🙁
Worse… I’ll likely have to run different computer OS…. YIKES. I hate when that happens. I suppose a two platform studio isn’t out of the question, but man… I’ll be very disappointed sans a new pro machine from A.

Great answer for sure.
I’ll bet we’ll see a day shortly where someone like AJA, Teranex or other will upscale HD to 4k in a hardware up conversion, you print from that…

Google “video translation services”… there’s a lot of ’em out there. I looked not long ago myself, to see what was what mostly. Some do VO in languages too.

Well…
If your delivery is SD or a web stream, then I think you might just transcode it all DV in your situation. The AIC codec isn’t a great codec BTW. I do believe you can do that with MPEG Streamclip.
