if you really mean replace and are willing to ditch one of the origional clips then yes, and if you have corresponding code…I’ve done this a while back, not in front of machine now but…
ditch or unlink the media within the origional master clip, then reconform/reload/relink the replacement clip to the origional.
Though it really should be available as a function rather than a workaround, being able to replace a master clip with a multicam group would also be a great feature.

but, as a standalone device, to input aes, embedded, analogue balanced and unbalanced, adat, simultaeneous multiple sdi/yuv/composite outputs and broadcast and non broadcast video inputs, the back of an adrenaline is better populated than a dvwa500 with all the cards. I have some big issues with Avid but you can hook it up to just about anything with a plug on without needing a couple of racks full of avitel/bal etc glue.

probably misunderstanding the question but,
why not just splice the omf without the unneeded tracks into a a new sequence and deal with that seq? -
playout via arc/dme, so frame delay… no problem unless you’re doing a drop in, then you get a frame of freeze since the avid is just sitting there…
