Unlocking tracks?
Hey people, I have an old Avid express which is limited to 8 video tracks and 8 audio tracks, I have been sent an omf with 12 video tracks so tracks 9 to 12 are all locked they appear but they are locked, I do not need these layers atall in the final project, is there a way I can delete the locked layers?. I have had a look around and can’t seem to figure it out :/ I hope you lovely people can help me out on this one.
One remedy I have thought of is to not bother having the layers visible?, but will this be ok if the upper layers footage is offline? there is no way I can get the upper footage in as it does not exist anymore.

probably misunderstanding the question but,
why not just splice the omf without the unneeded tracks into a a new sequence and deal with that seq? -
could you mixdown some of the other tracks and make 4 more tracks available?
