preroll on playout
Is there a way I can force mediacomposer to preroll when digicutting rather than instant start at the edit point without having to vt emulate and controlling the avid from a remote editor.
ie.
When I perform a digicut I’d like the avid to roll synchronously with the record deck for a couple of seconds before the record deck drops into record.

Why would you want that? Afraid of the crossfade audio on Inpoints?

playout via arc/dme, so frame delay… no problem unless you’re doing a drop in, then you get a frame of freeze since the avid is just sitting there…
