Yes Spruce technologies another one I am familiar with (apple bought). The 16 GPRM registers are poled via LUTs in player rom. Not all players are equal here. If you can make it work, and do what RD requests I would sure like to see the scripts. One could do this much more elegantly with executables. I don’t think I stand corrected.

This can be done with a few lines of code in an autostart or executable. It is not compatible with set top players, and is only understood by PC’s not Macs. That is why what you are trying to implement is not widely done. I can email you something simple to try however compatibility with conventional DVD players will be sacrificed.

This could only work in a PC environment, as how would you answer the questions from a dumb set top player remote? There could be some scripted lines of code however that could be implemented on a PC DVD. Not an authoring issue for Encore or any authoring software however.

You are not providing enough info here to help. If you give us a system configuration, what Black Magic hardware, etc., some of us here can help. Are you running hardware approved by BM and Adobe?

This board is similiar to K8WE and will run, but can be indtimidating to set up BIOS. You may have to disable all uneeded devices in BIOS first to get the board to see the Decklink card. Also it could be a simple setting for Option Rom in BIOS. Once you get the board recognized correctly you can go back and re enable other devices one at a time. Windows XP64 runs fine with K8WE Thunder but there is no gain, as Adobe products are not optimized for this configuration, and all run in 32 bit mode anyways. There is also the ram issue. 8 gigs of ram will not be utilized. Also you may need to update BIOS to V2.03

I understand that you can only control one camera with the CCU Software, which makes sense now when you consider all the functionality of the software. However would it be possible to save the settings for one camera, and upload the setup to multiple cameras. The white paper description says that the data can be saved. If so, that would help match cameras even if you did not need to use the record function, and real time shading capabilities of the software. Is the application licensed for one camera only. Also is it usable on PC and Mac.

I could be wrong here, but I don’t beleive Quick Time Pro was ever intended to recognize the BM codecs for export. I am not running QTpro on my decklink system, or would check it. What is wrong with export directly out of Premiere Pro? If I read your post right, that works ok.

Go to the contol panel, and open sound devices. go to audio tab, at the bottom, you will see a box to check . Enable preferred devices only, and see if that helps. I think you may have a couple of sound devices running simultaneously, that might account for the clicking. If that does not help, what is the motherboard for your system. On a properly running system clicking is not a problem over MBE connections.
