DEcklink HD Pro WinXP 64 bit
I am trying to install a Decklink HD Pro card
on a machine with XP 64bit but windows can’t even recognize
the card.I installed the latest drivers but the card doesn’t show anywhere
Windows doesn’t find it as a new hardware
Are there any problems with Decklink on XP 64 or am i missing something
Any help would be much appreciated because -as always- my deadline
is on Saturday
The configuration of the PC isMotherboard TYAN S2892 Thunder K8SE
2 dual core AMD
8GB ram
Nvidia 7800The reason i am trying with XP 64 is because i want to use all
available ram with nucleo PRO in After Effects

This board is similiar to K8WE and will run, but can be indtimidating to set up BIOS. You may have to disable all uneeded devices in BIOS first to get the board to see the Decklink card. Also it could be a simple setting for Option Rom in BIOS. Once you get the board recognized correctly you can go back and re enable other devices one at a time. Windows XP64 runs fine with K8WE Thunder but there is no gain, as Adobe products are not optimized for this configuration, and all run in 32 bit mode anyways. There is also the ram issue. 8 gigs of ram will not be utilized. Also you may need to update BIOS to V2.03

I was away for a three days shooting so i read my mails today
You are right about disabling all uneeded devices from M/B but as my technician
found out the real problem was the 8GB of ram.
As soon as he removed 4GB the card was recognized and the drivers installed
BUT!! the real problem remains because i really want the extra ram for working in After Effects
The issue is that my cards ( i bought 3 of them ) are PCIx and not PCI express and Black Magic
does not have drivers for that
I HOPE THAT THEY RELEASE THEM VERY SOON !!!
If anyone else has some other ideas they are very welcomed
