I would second the suggestion for the Shuttle Pro. For the work you describe, it’s invaluable.

You can toggle the Pan/Crop and event buttons on and off very easily with Ctrl/Shift C.

If you want to create the Mpeg file in Vegas, choose the DVD Architect PAL video stream (and encode the AC3 separatly).

In DVD Achitect, set your Project Properties to one of the PAL choices as well.

On the VX-2100, go into the menu and set the VCR SETTING> A/V to DV OUT to on and you should be good to go.

Do you have the Automation turnd on?

  • One of the Media Manager’s great strengths is to organize files that are spread out over multiple drives.

[David Sheneman] “Does anyone know if it’s possible to map the buttons, knobs & faders to control parameters inside Vegas?”

    That should be very doable.

You can create any shape you need using Bezier masking that is part of Pan/Crop.

Also you can create a mask in a paint program and apply the Mask Generator FX.

I would think all you have to do is set up a scroll, then apply 3D track motion with some Z axis rotation.
