I have done several surround sound projects in Vegas. Granted, the surround sound was only nicely “guestimated” as the sound I could hear while editing was only stereo. I understand that there are some things I can do to fix this, but this is not my current concern, and I would like to experiment with my audio to make my projects more interesting; sound effects, etc.

I am trying to work with the surround keyframes. I can create the key frames and edit each one. The problem is that the “edits” do not hold. The last edit I do is the way that all the keyframes on that track are adjusted. I was under the impression that I would see the surround panning panel on the left move as the curser advanced in the timeline as it passed each keyframe. I am sure that I must not have something set right.

I have my project set up for 5.1 surround before I even import media. I am using Vegas 6.0b build 115. P4, 2.66, 1GB, NVideo 4800, 80/120 internal + 250GB pyros that I capture and edit with. I searched the archives and the last 6 months but nothing on surround keyframes. Thanks in advance.

That was what it was. Thanks Gary.
