Of course. And when saving a backup of the hole proyect with Proyect Manager don´t forget to select the “Change media names” option to preserve the new names given to files.
Anyway, just have a try with a test proyect with some mts files and check it yourself.Regards

When i have different kinds of footage and want to make a very quickly edit job, i do it in multicamera mode, it´s not exactly a random edit but a “kind of”, and it won´t take you so much time to have something “edible” if you make the edits according to music beats.

It could be some kind of missing audio codec in the pc or out-of-date sound card drivers.
Try Sherlock to see if you have any broken or missing codec (https://www.freewaregeeks.com/?page=detail&get_id=20&category=36) and check your audio drivers update. -

October 14, 2012 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Scrubbing in timeline and fast forward audio question8Gb ram is enough if you ONLY are working with Premiere, but is limited if your workflow includes for example After Effects. 12GB would be the minimun for this workflow.
Having media in a FW800 HD is not the better way, it might be in a FW 1800 at least or in an internal Raid0 or even an SSD. Right Disks configuration and fast disk speeds are critical when playing back High Def files. Take a look at this: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/662972#.UGyyzXsdTnc.emailAudio scrubbing can be done simply by playing back timeline pressing “L” in the keyborard. If you press it twice, playing speed goes 2x, pressing three times it plays at 4x and so on. Doing it with “J” plays back reverse. In my experience audio plays fine until 4x before it begans to get randomly lost.

Last Adobe version with Clip Notes was CS3 if i remember correctly…

Since Premiere CS3 time remapping have never been the same, it´s too jerky, and there´s nothing we can do, frame blending doesn´t work. Since CS5 i´m using Twixtor instead, more time consuming but it gives great results.

Since CS5 you can use the .vob files directly in PPro, no need to change the extension to .mpg. This was made for Premiere to recognize mpeg2 files with AC3 sound format.
First copy them to your hard disk, don´t import from the DVD.
If the dvd is copy protected, then you need to unprotect it using DVDFab, for example, and ripping them to your hard disk in the same format and dvd structure than the original. Then you can put the vob files in premiere with no problem. In XP 32 bit there was a nice little program which unprotected every dvd inserted in the player, with no need to rip the hole dvd, you only copy and paste desired vob files in the hard disk: it is called DVD43. Unfortunately there´s no standalone 64 bit version, only as a plugin for a program called “1clicktoDVD”. That´s one of the reasons why i keep a dual boot in my pc with Windows XP installed in one individual hard disk, as last time i instaled DVDFav it made a mess in my W7 sistem codecs.

Can now encode to QT when necessary.Tom, it happened to me too, the nvidia drivers updated by Windows Update were not good, so I replaced them with the Nvidia ones and it´s working now. But I´m having runtime errors too in PPro and AE, with some C++ files involved as well, how did you get rid of that?

First set the still images duration as long as your longest interval between markers, do it in the general tab of preferences before importing your media to the proyect, as changing this option doesn´t change duration of media already imported.
Then select “put in markers” option in the automate to sequence window.

Yes but nor premiere neither after effects run in 32 bit from cs5.
