I tried to import an XML from a FCP7 sequence with Premiere CS6 on a windows machine, i end up with no sound even though the audio tracks are there and i see the waveform. The sequence on FCP7 is super simple, one track of video and audio.

This same operation via CS6 on a Mac works fine. Any idea ??? thx

It could be some kind of missing audio codec in the pc or out-of-date sound card drivers.
Try Sherlock to see if you have any broken or missing codec (https://www.freewaregeeks.com/?page=detail&get_id=20&category=36) and check your audio drivers update.

    Hi Anhtu,

Yes this is a known issue. For the workarounds

    From FCP:
Keyframe the audio in FCP and it will retain the audio levels when opened in Premiere.

    From Premiere:
The audio is set to -infinity on import so you will have to manually adjust the audio there.

    Hope this is helpful,

Yep, we occasionally get this problem even going in to Mac PPro CS6. Just highlight your audio clips in the timeline, rt-click, remove effects.
