I solved the problem myself. The settings in the Audio-Mixer in the Edit tab has an influence on the Audio-Output in the Deliver-Tab.

Did you try to play the file in another application? Try Quicktime, VLC, or any other Media Player…
Does the file show a thumbnail in the Finder?

I Just testet it with my macbook – there it works flawlessly (after a little wonkyness during installation)
But that makes it even stranger: why doesn´t it play on the MacPro?

Just got a Mini-Monitor as well. Plugged it into a new 6Core Mac Pro. First it looked like it worked:
The picture on the preview-monitor changed from Noise to black. Then system went wonky (Mouse didn´t react, Mouse arrow vanished, stuff like that). We rebooted, after that, the BM-Software didn´t see the mini monitor anymore. We unplugged it, used another port, no avail!
Is the unit faulty? Or is this product just crap?

I bet there have been a million “feature-requests” for this since FCP 3…. .-)

  • I wouldn´t risk to rely on the AVCHD-Codec for this kind of job, since it´s only 8bit 4:2:0 sampling.
Better rent a Samurai, then you will get ProRes with 4:2:2 Color-Sampling.

    Hi Peter,

thanks for your input. But could you elaborate a little bit more, what exactly image processing in that context means?

Do you mean: Rendering is done by dual GPUs – but only on the new macpro?

or do you mean: On GPU is taking care of effects, the other is running GUI on the new MacPro?

If the latter is the case: Wasn´t that true for all dual GPU-Machines?

    Kind Regards!

Thanks for pointing that out to me, but I´m completely able to read myself.
