Posted by Grzegorz Kwiatkowski on March 22, 2014 at 7:59 amCan somebody tell me what are the main limitations of the Lite version? Can I use it to work with HD footage and output HD? I heard it limited to SD. Is it true?
thanks

DaVinc Resolve Lite is limited to
UHD timeline and renders
1 image processing GPU ( except for the new MacPro where we use both )
1 red rocket
And
No remote grading
No shared project database
No stereoscopic 3D timelines
No motion effects or spatial or temporal NR -

March 27, 2014 at 10:33 amHi Peter,
thanks for your input. But could you elaborate a little bit more, what exactly image processing in that context means?
Do you mean: Rendering is done by dual GPUs – but only on the new macpro?
or do you mean: On GPU is taking care of effects, the other is running GUI on the new MacPro?
If the latter is the case: Wasn´t that true for all dual GPU-Machines?
Kind Regards!
