You have an errant script or app running.
Have you tried login as an Admin with access to that user?
Or try a safe mode.
There are utilities out there that can help.
Check the Activity Monitor in Utilities if there is something ghost like in the background.

Of late Avid has been updating to Apples tech a little quicker than the past.
Not sure if the M4 is approved yet but I am confident it will be.
Also, most of us have broken that rule anyways time to time 🙂

I haven’t jumped the gun yet with this update, but do you still have to download the Pro package codecs from Apple?

Well I wouldn’t say its that bad considering I am daily with a slew of 30″ screens at most of my workstations. You can scale the icons up or break the native resolution and have everything larger.
I still have 3 Apple Cinema 30″s at home and work with 30″ Dells at day job/studios.

I use it on too many mixed systems and need to travel back and forth daily.

Used both apps Devrim suggested on indie features/shorts and its flawless.
But he is right about keeping it clean with no extras.
Heck even when staying in the same app via FCPXML across diff users plugins tend to get confused.
Keep it simple, should always be the workflow with cross platform editing.

Is the shot static?
Do you have access to the same clock?
Even if it wasn’t static, this can be fixed in any motion/NLE software with a little bit of work.

Ran into room echo issues and tried every option available none worked.
Used the demo R11 Advance De-Reverb as well.
No dice.
Lesson learned on shooting live events.

Anything newer than yours will be fine.
Not big on used unless you know where the item came from personally.I just suck it up and pay the Apple tax 😛
