Teach me a lesson.
Posted by Ivan Ivan on November 7, 2024 at 2:30 pmOh, great wizards. I have a problem. I have a video. In the video, there is an electronic clock display. I need to change a digit on the display. For example, change the number two to one.

November 7, 2024 at 3:46 pmIs the shot static?
Do you have access to the same clock?
Even if it wasn’t static, this can be fixed in any motion/NLE software with a little bit of work.

November 8, 2024 at 3:54 amSorry for the stupid answers. I read through a translator. the clock in the frame is motionless. Only the time changes: minutes and seconds. I don’t have access to the clock.Tell me in what program can this be done? and what actions to take?

November 10, 2024 at 6:07 amHey Ivan,
I would suggest that you “re-paint” the numbers on the clock.
There is a number of ways that you can do that.
But on a digital clock it whould be starightforward.Atb

November 10, 2024 at 10:00 pmHey Ivan,
It is near impossible for anyone here to give you directions, or help, without seing the actual clock.
Paiting the number is very normal when doing invisivle VFX.
You can do this in most picture/photo editing packages. And, just crop in and replace the actual line in the digital number of the clock, by overlaying the exported edited image (line) on top of your video layer. Depending of the sice of the clock, you may need to match grain.
One way could also be to mask out the “offending” line on your clock, and do a “Change Colour” key or fill with colour in the mask.
The alternative to the above is to either reshoot the scene, or add a voice over explaining the time-travel.
But if you want real answers, you need to share the image/video.
