You can edit with three VCRs and still get the basics 🙂

PSB are huge files.
You might need to break down the layers to sections.
If the one PSB is the whole comp required for animation then you will need to really break it down.
But if its the whole project e.g. intro, lower thirds, exit, etc… then you can break it down and use PSD as export.

Do you mean the time length?
Use the Retiming option.
Select the clip/image and Command + R.
Sometimes its cumbersome so I duplicate the clip and test it out of the primary timeline.

So much more options using AME.
Burn timecode/watermark.
I also use the Lumetri for quick and dirty reviews.
And Im so old I only remember rendering from AE only 🙂
Now its always (and hopefully they dont break it) AME!

Sadly its also dependent on your target.
It might still look like this after you are done and ready for delivery.
Since you didn’t mention that, I am assuming just straight to web.

Funny same experience here.
Client needs 26 episodes converted to 25i from 24p.
Shot on RED at 23.976 of course.
They need an MXF XDCAM 25i for another country.
Easy peasy with AME.

IMHO for the price we paid for back in 2011, I am happy with whatever is updated/fixed.
Cant really say that about the total cost of Avid since 1996 to 2018 😛

I still use my trusty OWC 6X burner but not sure if its still available.
I also have an old Pioneer that was residing in an old Dell but now in a 2009 Mac Pro.
I may have burned one BD in the last three years and a few DVDs.
Crazy how these went out of style so fast 🙁

I have used everything from a RED Scarlet, Komodo, Raptor and now currently (own) a Dragon 6K for my band and others.
I also used a BM Pocket 6K, GH3/4 and a slew of other cameras.You are at the throes of the lighting.
Best lighting ever was a huge event but that was major production.
Then I leave the camera on for some local dive bars and sometimes you get a shock how good it looks.
Yea its a tough go when you dont have control over lighting.

I am not sure what look your going for.
If you cant use a camera that works decent in low light then I don’t know what else to tell you other than you need lights period.
Is this an environment shot?
Please explain your final look.
