I’ve done many of these in the past.

Great thing about AE is you can create one and re-use in many ways.
You will need to deal with masking parts as well.

    Thanks Ben!

It looks like I will have to wait till the M4.

Apparently my 2010 Ford Ranger wants more attention with a new engine 😛

    Stupid priorities…

Just checking to see if the file is suspect.

It should be RGB and not sure if Mocha cares for LZW compressed files.

I tend to convert the file to something like PSD when I run into these oddities.

The settings are good but is it RGB?

    Check the TIFFs formatting.

Is it a base TIFF with no LZW compression?
I cant see why it would be but where did this image derive from?
    Is it CMYK or RGB?

    All those come to factor.

Some have specific requests like frame size, aspect ratio and of course codec format.

Past experiences, 2K was the primary frame size and no grading.

But I’ve also had to pre-assemble green screens and even close to final edit as a deliverable.

Size was never issue, they usually want it on a drive or use Aspera/MediaShuttle.

  • Just to add to Andy’s tips, you can do whatever it takes to your tracking source to get the software to track. Just remember to duplicate (if using pre-comp) the layer and hide it, then do a switch before final render.

I’ve done this many times only to forget to shut-off helpers e.g. contrast, edges, etc… in the final VFX plate and have my colleagues have a laugh 😛

All audio connections are on that handle.

There is a scratch mic on the body but any line in you need the handle attached.

Its XLR so not sure if you need a converter.

I didn’t realize the FX6 don’t have IBIS. There is a work around using their Catalyst software.

I will need to test that first before we pull the trigger.

The rumors of a FX6 Mark II also is out there but again that’s just a rumor.
I was hoping for something to be ground breaking at NAB 2024 but nothing.

The PYXIS could still be that but yes without int ND its a tough sell.

I have till fall to move to a new system, maybe something will shake by then.
