Got a tip from a fellow REDUser to turn on “Use AAF Protocol”.
This helped get my clips out using AAF.
Got to open the AAF in Resolve and did some basic CC.
Now I rendered it out and cant seem to figure how to bring it back in to Avid using MXF.
I placed them in the Avid MediaFiles and tried using MediaTools.
They dont seem to want to import.
Anyone have a clue?

Im good now with both Eucon 2.6 and Resolve 8 beta.
I had same problems as everyone else here.
Makes an exciting day 🙂

Running the beta (again) and this time no suprises with Control Surface 🙂
Checked Power Windows and they work.
Running v8beta on MP12core and Quadro 4000 as GUI.
driving nvidia card into dual 30″s.

Just to add that with my current config of Quadro 4000 as GUI, it does state in Resolve 8 that I have 1 GPU.
So does it work?

The “Command+C” is a bit buggy in version 8 as well.
I did install the beta but got into trouble with my Avid Artist Color.
So I went back to original.
Thats when I noticed the Power Windows would flake out 🙁
You have to sit there and toggle “Command+C” a few times to get it on/off.

Is this true?
Im running v8.01 on a MP 12core with Quadro 4000 as GUI and REDRocket.
With R3D files Im getting 24fps on play back, of course on one extra node since I just started learning.

First time user running it on Dual 30’s off a Quadro 4000 (I know, not a good way of using it).
Im crashing at times but oddly not with during intensive display use.
When I switch from other apps and back to Resolve 8, I get the beach ball.
I could start another thread but I do recall seeing issues with the larger display as soon as I first started.
At one point the GUI was unresponsive so I had to reboot the Mac.
I installed Resolve 8 on a app laden 12core.
Maybe a little too much on this system e.g Avid MC, Protools 9, CS5 MC, FCS3 and FCPX.
Should I start a new thread?

Is there a good working combo?
Say I have access to a Quadro 4800 and Quadro 4000.
Then add a AMD 5870 and 5770.
Is there a magic set-up without having to go to a Cubix?
I also have the future option of two Quadro 4000 in the same 12core.

Has this process been streamlined yet?
My last R3D with Avid was in January and at that time I was able to import MXF from RCX using DNxHD220. Then it was dragging the MXF files into my Avid file system (OS X).
Looking at Avid website and the PDF tip is still using ROCKETCineX?
Is there anything official from Avid?
