Resolve 8 on monitors w/ higher resolution the 1920×1080
Posted by Tito Da costa on July 15, 2011 at 1:02 amIs ther any advantage of using Resolve 8 on a monitor with more resolution then 1920×1080, like the Apple cinema display?
What’s the optimum size you’d recommend? 24″? 30″?
Thanx!

July 15, 2011 at 6:28 amThe interface is filled with very little things you need to click on.
The distance from the screen determines the size.
I have a 27″ and 60 cm, which is maximum for my old eyes 🙂
Another plus of the panel.A slice of color…

July 20, 2011 at 5:07 amFirst time user running it on Dual 30’s off a Quadro 4000 (I know, not a good way of using it).
Im crashing at times but oddly not with during intensive display use.
When I switch from other apps and back to Resolve 8, I get the beach ball.
I could start another thread but I do recall seeing issues with the larger display as soon as I first started.
At one point the GUI was unresponsive so I had to reboot the Mac.
I installed Resolve 8 on a app laden 12core.
Maybe a little too much on this system e.g Avid MC, Protools 9, CS5 MC, FCS3 and FCPX.
Should I start a new thread? -
