Holy crap I was away on vacation and so glad to see this forum started 😉
Its so easy to get caught up in the drama on the internet.
I also tried something similar at REDUSER so I can avoid the noise 🙂

    Thanks for starting this.
So much to read so little time…

    you dont have FCP anymore?
can you afford just to move just like that from one platform to another?
damn Id have to write up a 30 page explanation to do that where I work.
oh well, FCPX seems to be working for what Im using it for.
just in case, welcome to Avid.
    Were an Avid facility.
    Here’s a tip.

Avid MC 5.0aack is not stable 😛
I have numerous posts on Avid forum on Hagrid, SWDC or whatever new crash code out these days.
None has been addressed and its over a year old for some of these.
Oh sure Ive moved ahead and started working on newer projects that work but everytime I have to go back to some old files, one of these errors rears its ugly head.
We have support…or lack of 😛

We’ve been running Avid since Meridean days. Now were at NitrisDX.
    No its not stable 😛
Its another tool and when that tool needs to be sharpened/fixed, we just move sideways over the very reliable FCP.
Looking forward to adding another tool called FCPX 😉

The only bonus about upgrading from FCS to Avid MC today is that you get to keep your FCS license.
We pay enough into a single user support to Avid, Im not about to throw away another 1k for another seat.
Ill just move our dongle around 🙂

Bring on FCPX, were ready for it here 😉
