Thank you Cows for this forum.
I just came here to clear my head. The last couple of days have been a rollercoaster. Having your business (seem to be) turned upside down is hard to take – even when I rationalise it. I didn’t sleep well, honestly.
So – thanks for making a forum for learning and sharing, not shouting. And I feel I have to say this, because I was the one that mentioned starting an FCPX forum in the first place – who knew what it would become…
Don’t mean to clutter this space – this will be the last time I comment on anything other than the app. I hope I can soon help people here (and be helped) as I have for the last few years on the FCP forum.

We loved the FCPX forum idea, because we could see that, once that download landed, conversation was going to swamp anyone in the FCP forum trying to get help with their current work. And indeed, FCPX was our top forum on its very first day, very nearly doubling our original FCP forum, which itself has been the busiest FCP community anywhere on line.
Good for anyone wanting to talk about what this means for business, the future, etc. Not so good for anyone wanting to talk about using FCPX today.
So welcome here. Tell your friends. 🙂 It will probably take another day or so to build up the kind of momentum we need so that folks will get the kind of help they’ve come to expect from the COW, in the timeframe they need.

And a big thank you from me too – even if I do have to point out a little annoyingly that my original suggestion for this yesterday got loudly shouted down on the old FCPX forum and my post politely requesting this on the Letters to the COW forum mysteriously vanished along with its accompanying thread 😉
Feels like a real breath of fresh air to be here, though, so thanks again!

Hence starting this forum. 🙂 That one’s doing important work by quarantining noise, and keeping the original FCP forum, and now this one, maximally optimized for signal.

This is a really great resource all of a sudden – the best of the COW as we’ve come to know it, directed full-on at getting to grips with FCPX. I’ve already learned some truly eye-opening stuff.
I have to say, I might sneak back to the other place occasionally to see what’s cooking on the speculation/indignation front – boy, was that fun for a couple of months!

I still pop back there too, but my blood pressure is staying calmer here. Rage is fun for a while, no doubt, but I’m too old to stay that mad for long….

Holy crap I was away on vacation and so glad to see this forum started 😉
Its so easy to get caught up in the drama on the internet.
