Still testing FCPX, this time around with GoPro HD clips.
I imported an MP3 for bed.
I added it as connected and had markers timed out nicely.
After a few days of playing around I did some minor Match color.
Then I turned my head for a few seconds to look at another screen and poof!
The audio connected with the markers is gone?
I checked the undo section and it still remembers my Match color.
I tried to undo a few times and still no go.
Since Ive been working with this audio clip for days, I remember the shots well enough to get back on track.
However Im curious as to what the heck happened?
The only thing I can think of is that I turned on Automatically hide dock then GUI Zoom.
But that was a few steps before I started Match color.

I’d try converting to AIF either in iTunes or QuickTime player first. MP3 is ok but much better is AIF.

If you’re lining up markers to the audio, you might want to make your audio and primary timeline a compound clip before continuing on with your project. That will lock it in and protect it from anything your other edits do to it. The magnetic timeline can have some unexpected results if you try to use it like tracks.
